This campaign on cyberviolence, created by the Laboratoire d’études sur la violence et la sexualité and available in French only, features a series of video clips on the theme of cyberviolence by an intimate partner or ex-partner. The Laboratory also has a YouTube channel featuring the videos produced as part of the project.
Particularly useful in an awareness-raising context, these videos can be used as supporting material in a workshop with students. In the research projects tab (“Projets de recherche”), you will find Projet Cyberviolences. This project features comprehensive scenarios to inform young people about consent and sexual violence, which can arise within an intimate or romantic relationship.
Video Clips to Prioritize
Despite the relevance of all the clips, we have selected three that address the main components of cyberviolence:
- Les formes de cyberviolence (Forms of cyberviolence) (2m45): This video covers the different forms of cyberviolence and is packed with testimonials produced with the utmost kindness.
- Les signes précurseurs de la cyberviolence (The red flags of cyberviolence) (3m18): This video uses scenarios to illustrate the strategies used by offenders to manipulate and control their partner.
- Reconnaître les comportements de la cyberviolence (Recognizing the behaviours of cyberviolence) (2:44): This animated video highlights the barriers that can prevent people from perceiving cyberviolence. It also illustrates the strategies that people can use to get out of cyberviolence situations.
