This very sought-after tool is a modern, technological and effective way of explaining the various key nuances of sexual consent. The virtual reality experience will enable participants to experience a range of reactions and sensations in realistic settings.
The experience is lived through a pair of 360° glasses that put you directly in the shoes of a person who is experiencing a situation where their consent is not being respected. The goal of the tool is to raise awareness of the importance of each person’s consent, and of listening to each other’s limits. The activity lasts around 15 minutes, including time for discussion following the virtual reality experience.
This tool is intended for those working with young people aged 16 and over. We thought it would be interesting to include it in your presentations, as it highlights the fact that sexual consent can sometimes be difficult to express or understand, due to its many nuances. Furthermore, the experience gives you the opportunity to speak to the importance of healthy relationships and respect.
Since the end of funding for this project, we charge a fee to offer this workshop. Contact the YWCA team to plan a Do You NO the Limit? session in your community and to find out more.
