If your events deal with sexual violence and you are looking for a tool to put participants’ knowledge into practice, this exercise sheet in the form of a questionnaire is just what you need!
The tool is intended for intervention workers working with young people aged 16 and over. The exercise takes approximately 60 to 75 minutes and is divided into 4 parts, including an icebreaker activity in the form of a discussion. The 15-page document includes the questionnaire’s questions and answers in the appendices. It completes the information document Definitions of sexual violence.
Testing knowledge of sexual violence
During the questionnaire, young people will be able to test their knowledge of the different types of sexual violence, through the presentation of scenarios and answer options. The second part of the activity, which deals with definitions of sexual violence, is optional but relevant, since it differentiates between sexual violence and helps to recognize sexually violent behaviour.
The YWCA expertise
The YWCA Montreal offers intervention workers several tools to help prevent violence and promote social and gender equality. This exercise sheet was created with funding from the Secrétariat à la condition féminine du Québec.
