What is the crisis of masculinity? In this video capsule, stand-up comic Louis T debunks the idea that present-day men are encountering setbacks because of the rise of feminism. He describes their “symptoms” in plain, easy-to-understand terms, in order to distinguish between what might be attributed to social pressures rather than to feminism.

In this capsule, available in French only, Louis T does not invalidate the problems specifically affecting men nowadays. However, he explains that it is easier for some of them to point the finger at an external culprit (i.e., women) to explain this supposed crisis of masculinity, rather than commit themselves to changing social dynamics.
In the 5-minute video, Louis T attempts to raise awareness about the social pressure that leads men to repress their emotions. As he sees it, these behaviours are reinforced by our society and have a very real impact. He lists consequences such as school difficulties for boys, the inequitable participation of fathers in the upbringing of children, and the high suicide rate among men.
