This intervention tool puts forward various concepts relating to the abuse of power within relationships. It also provides a better understanding of sexual violence and the different types of abusive behaviour.
This document has been designed for intervention workers engaged with young people aged 16 and over. The document contains 11 pages and two appendices for the questions and answers of the questionnaire, as well as an appendix for the related videos.
The abuse of power exercise sheet is divided into 5 parts, including an icebreaker exercise, definitions, a questionnaire and awareness-raising videos. Part 4, which includes the video presentation, is optional. The exercise takes between 45 and 75 minutes.
The YWCA expertise
The YWCA Montreal is known for creating tools that help prevent violence and promote the reduction of social and gender inequalities. The creation of this exercise sheet was made possible thanks to funding from the Secrétariat à la condition féminine du Québec.
