Using games to get a message across? That’s genius. This interactive game is the result of Interligne’s hard work and explores the day-to-day lives of five characters who are members of LGBTQ+ communities. The game’s objective is to build awareness about the microaggressions these people might be frequently exposed to.

This interactive game is divided into two visual and auditory parts. The first part stages a situation that allows the players to put themselves in the shoes of a sexual and/or gender-diverse person experiencing violence. The second part lets the players assume the role of a person who has an opportunity to help a victim of microaggressions.

The game is easy to navigate, boasts an amazing concept and provides an educational approach to the issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities. At the end of every scenario, information is given about the different types of violence observed during the interactions between the characters. These helpful tips and resources will empower you to be a better ally against this kind of violence.

The game is available online and free of charge but is only available in French. It is mostly played individually and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete, depending on the player’s required time for reflection. It can easily be added at the end of a workshop to encourage further exploration or to prepare the ground for a group discussion. The game can be played by players aged 12 or older.

Interligne is an organization that provides a 24/7 helpline and support services for anyone interested in sexual diversity and gender pluralism.
