Are you working in the education sector and looking to develop your skills? Réseau Éducation Collaboration Innovation Technologie (RÉCIT) is here to help you.
RÉCIT is a national network that develops, promotes, and shares resources for skill development in various educational topics. With an abundance of resources dedicated to sexuality education, RÉCIT stands out for its integration of technology and digital tools into teaching practices. All resources are aligned with the requirements of the Québec Education Program – Elementary Education.
Services Offered
RÉCIT offers a wide range of training sessions, both online and in person, for professionals working in educational settings from preschool to university. The topics covered are diverse and go beyond sexuality. Many of the training sessions and webinars have been created in collaboration with experts, such as sexologists. These trainings address:
- Different educational approaches to sexuality to meet the requirements of the Québec Culture and Citizenship Program (CCQ).
- Intervention, education, and prevention techniques for working with youth on topics such as:
- Sexual and intimate violence.
- Sexualized language and behaviours.
- Gender identity.
- Sexual exploitation.
RÉCIT also offers news updates and events that help build a supportive community. Users can meet RÉCIT resource persons as well as seasoned professionals in sexuality education and school-based prevention. The contact information for these experts is listed in the “Bottin des conseillers”. Among the variety of tools available on the platform, visual aids and awareness materials for sexuality education can be downloaded for free.
All RÉCIT training sessions and events are listed on the “Calendrier”. In addition, users can access self-paced online training via the “Campus RÉCIT” and “Parcours de formations (combos numériques)” sections.
Finally, RÉCIT offers local and regional support services to assist with the integration of technological tools into teaching and intervention practices.
